Simply, a parody of the Edward Zwick film "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise, for "ROLLING STONE Magazine".
Though American producers wished to create/perform/execute a movie displaying the Japanese culture, they'll always end up "hollywoodizing" it.

The Technique is mix-up. (Pencil-photoshop)

And besides, "American Samurai" was directed by Sam Firstenberg, not Edward Swick.

In this case, the artwork talk about "The last Samurai" [link]
The title say "american" cause I wanted to do a critical or parody of the theme.
