This was definitely one of my favorite illustrations. Not coincidentally, I had three of these animals as my avatar.
The article talks about the different species of males (only males) and which characteristics belong to each animal.

The Owl: Is the male prepared and educated with many master's degrees and postgraduate studies. For the same reason, he has lost the simplicity. It tends to be arrogant, to look down on everyone, to be analytical, even in the most cute and simple things, to get philosophical about anything, to disapprove all the movies, to criticize everything and show us how despicable and insignificant mankind is, less him. This male educated but embittered always tends to blame society but he himself (who is also part of society) never has any fault.

The Wolf: It is the irresponsible male but who has the gift of the gab to seduced females. Usually it is not physically attractive, nor have much money, but his enormous tongue full of cunning and his great sense of humor does make a lot of friends and beautiful females, making it the envy even of the handsome males who fail discover their secret.

The little Kangaroo: Is simply the sissy, the milquetoast. Needless to say more. Never leave the umbilical cord that connects him to his mother. It may be a prepared and educated male, but if these male are entered with a problem, he never will face alone. He must ask for the reinforcement of the female who procreated him.

The Rooster: Is the powerful “macho”, who by his strength and courage tends to be troublemaker. Usually these males aren’t highly educated, because they get overconfident on: the whole essence of his life is in his physical strength and ability to win fights with his fists. Usually he has a bad temper and don’t have too much sense of humor. One quality they have is: if you earned them as friends, they are very good as a bodyguards.

The Lion: This is another powerful “macho”, but unlike the rooster, this is the perfect male, making it the undisputed King of the jungle. He has almost all the qualities: He is strong, prepared, unassuming, noble, handsome, manly, protector, responsible and economically stable. His weakness is to be conceited sometimes, but has everything a girl could want. The sad thing is that this male is almost always unlucky in love. Most of the females escape from him and the reasons are almost always on one thing: They don’t stand such perfection. Oh, C’mon! Who understand females?

The Pig: It's the typical “freak” male who loves art, comic books, movies, animations, video games, manga books and animes, the collectables action figures (specially on Sci-Fi or anime themes), computers and RPGs (and to abound on DeviantArt). They vary in temper, sense of humor and level of responsibility. For the same reason he loves art, this timid male neglects his physical appearance and looks like he will never seduced any female in his life, so he takes refuge in to fantasize with fictional females reflected in print paper or internet. Interestingly this “nerd” male sometimes unintentionally attracts females, and the reason is because they find something irresistible seeing such timidity on this “cute” male. Don’t forget that many females are also freaks and art-lovers, so they can share many things and tastes in common.

So, what kind of male are you?

Ésta ha sido definitivamente una de mis ilustraciones favoritas. No por nada he puesto tres de éstos animales como mis avatars.
El artículo habla acerca de las diferentes especies de machos (únicamente machos) y qué características le pertenecen a cada animalito.

El Búho: Es el macho preparado, con numerosas licenciaturas, y también maestrías y posgrados. Por lo mismo ha perdido la sencillez. Tiende a ser arrogante, a mirar a todos por abajo, a ser analítico hasta en las cosas más bonitas y simples, a filosofar de cualquier cosa, a calificar mal todas las películas, a criticar todo y a mostrarnos lo despreciable que es la humanidad entera menos él. Éste macho culto pero amargado siempre acostumbra culpar a la sociedad, pero él mismo (quien también es parte de la sociedad) nunca tiene la culpa.

El Lobo: Es el macho irresponsable pero con mucha labia y habilidad para conquistar hembras. Por lo general físicamente no es muy agraciado, ni tiene mucho dinero, pero su enorme lengua llena de astucia y su gran sentido del humor lo hace ganarse compañeros y hembras hermosas, lo cual lo convierte en la envidia aún de los machos guapos quienes no logran descubrir su secreto.

El Cangurito: No es otra cosa que el mandilón. Sobran las palabras. Nunca deja el cordón umbilical que lo conecta con su madre. Puede ser un macho preparado y culto, pero si se topa con algún problema nunca lo puede ni podrá enfrentar solo. Tiene que pedir el refuerzo de aquella que lo procreó.

El Gallo: Es el poderoso macho, quien por su fuerza y bravura tiende a ser buscapleitos. Por lo general éste tipo de machos no son muy cultos, debido que confían demasiado en que toda la esencia de su vida está en su fuerza física y en su capacidad para vencer peleas con los puños. Por lo general con corajudos y no tienen mucho sentido del humor. Una cualidad que sí tienen es: si te los ganas como amigos son buenos como guardaespaldas.

El León: Es otro macho poderoso, pero a diferencia del gallo, éste es el macho ideal, lo que lo convierte en el indiscutible rey de la selva. Posee casi todas las cualidades: Es fuerte, preparado, sencillo, noble, guapo, varonil, protector, responsable y con una economía estable. Su punto débil es ser vanidoso en ocasiones, pero tiene todo lo que una hembra puede desear. Lo triste del asunto es que éste macho casi siempre es desafortunado en el amor. La mayoría de las hembras lo evaden y sus razones coinciden casi siempre en una cosa: Ellas no soportan tanta perfección. ¿Pues quién las entiende?

El Cerdo: Es el típico macho “freak” que ama el arte, los cómics, las películas, las animaciones, los videojuegos, los mangas y animés, las figuras de acción coleccionables (especialmente de Sci-Fi o animés), las computadoras y los juegos de rol (y abunda en DeviantArt). Varían en carácter, sentido del humor y nivel de responsabilidad. Por lo mismo que ama el arte, éste tímido macho descuida su apariencia física y parece como que nunca le interesará conquistar alguna hembra en su vida, por lo que se refugia en fantasear con hembras ficticias que ve plasmadas en papel o en Internet. Curiosamente a veces éste macho “nerd”, sin proponérselo atrae a las hembras, y la razón es porque ellas encuentran un no-se-qué irresistible en descubrir tanta timidez en ése “animalito de la Creación”, algo muy “cute”. No olvidemos que muchas hembras también son freaks y amantes del arte, por lo que pueden compartir muchos gustos en común.

Así que ¿cuál macho eres tú?
