Female Cartoon Faces by JoniGodoy Female Cartoon Faces by JoniGodoy
¿o no?

If you continue to practice faces of real people and you understand the proportion and the anatomy of the human face, then you can begin to stylize them to obtain caricatures, and then cartoon characters with different personalities. Really it’s incredible to discover that following this one method, increases the quality of your drawings considerably. When you capture the gestures and the essence of each person whom you portray, you can obtain a lot of variety on faces. This image with feminine faces is a sample of it. No artist has excuse to draw all his her women with the same face, the same eyes, the same face, the same mouth, the same face, the same nose, the same face, the same monotonous expressions and… ah! Also the same face!
For experience we know that it happens very frequently in the American and European art, but with much more frequency in Japanese Manga. Or not?

The aren't necessary. I show you here only the expressions and how-to-get-a-caricature, but you can draw noses to your characters. haha!

You have no idea how happy I was when I read your paragraph on proportions and faces. I take art classes telling me the same thing about realism, but they hate anime. Despite this, I began drawing anime and insisted on drawing different body types and was told it wasn't real anime by friends. Discouraged, I recently gave up on anime and am now trying to find my own art style. So far I am happy with it, but it isn't complete. I just love your style and am amazed by the noticeable realism. How did you create your own art style?
