Portraying some of the characters from the whole Final Fantasy games' saga (starting at Nintendo 8-bits all the way to the 128-bit consoles!) this was one of the most laborious and complex illustrations I've ever made!
Created for a Mexican videogame magazine that stopped publishing in 2002. The technique was very complex: Firstly, I had to make the black contours on "Opalina" bristol board , and separately I had to apply the watercolors on a "Fabriano" bristol board... Later, each drawing was separately scanned. The composit image was carried out digitally and the black contours had to become color contours!!! Interesting fact: For this gargantuan work I received only 100 dollars!! =..( ...but I´m vastly satisfied with the result, and I am grateful to God for that experience! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
